Borderlands 4: Global Launch Schedule and Pricing Details

The highly anticipated Borderlands 4 is almost upon us, with its official release date set for September 12th.
Gearbox Software has now revealed the precise global unlock times for the game. Eager players can begin their adventures
as early as 9 AM PT on September 11th, which translates to midnight Eastern Time on September 12th.
Below, you`ll find a detailed breakdown of launch times across various regions.

Initially, Borderlands 4 will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version is scheduled for a later release on October 3rd.
It`s worth noting that the launch date for the non-Nintendo platforms was actually moved forward from an original target of September 23rd.

Borderlands 4 will be available at a standard price of $70. This pricing decision sparked considerable discussion,
especially after Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford`s earlier comments suggested uncertainty regarding the final cost,
leading to speculation of an $80 price tag. Pitchford even fueled the debate by stating that “real fans”
would readily pay $80 if that were the case.

Despite the initial price discussions, Pitchford has expressed immense confidence in Borderlands 4,
claiming the game would be “worth it” even if it cost five times its current asking price.

In addition to the $70 standard edition, 2K and Gearbox are offering several more premium options for collectors and dedicated fans.
These include a $100 deluxe edition, a $130 super deluxe edition, and a $150 collector`s edition, each likely offering exclusive in-game or physical bonuses.
