Blumhouse’s ‘Eyes of Hellfire’ Launches Open Beta, Early Access Soon

Blumhouse Games has announced that its upcoming cooperative horror title, “Eyes of Hellfire,” is now entering an open beta phase, with early access on Steam slated for later this month. Developed by Gambrinous, the game ensures players won`t confront the terrors of the Hellfire Club in isolation, thanks to Steam`s Friend`s Pass feature. This allows multiple players to team up even if only one person owns the game.

Created by Irish studio Gambrinous, “Eyes of Hellfire” immerses players in Irish folklore, trapping up to five individuals within the Hellfire Club`s mysterious lodge. Their primary objective is to collaborate, solve intricate puzzles, and break free while simultaneously lifting personal curses. However, success is hindered by spectral entities and other menacing apparitions. Adding a layer of intense psychological horror, players must also be wary of each other, as the game incorporates a betrayal mechanic where survival might hinge on turning against allies.

Further complicating matters, the lodge`s seemingly benevolent host harbors a hidden agenda. This narrative element compels players to constantly evaluate who to trust—the enigmatic host or their fellow trapped companions—especially when their very lives are at stake.

It`s important to note that while Steam`s Friend`s Pass offers a free entry point, it doesn`t unlock the full experience. Players who opt to purchase “Eyes of Hellfire” will gain access to enhanced features such as meta character progression, a wider array of card unlocks, and expanded customization options.

The open beta for “Eyes of Hellfire” is currently live on its Steam page and will conclude on Monday, August 11. Following the beta, the game will enter Early Access on Steam starting August 27. During the initial Early Access period, Blumhouse Games will offer a limited-time 10% discount on the game`s standard $10 price.

In related news, earlier this year Blumhouse Games also showcased two other anticipated horror titles: “Grave Seasons” and “Crisol: Theater of Idols.” Beyond gaming, Blumhouse`s film division is actively working on a live-action adaptation of the popular ghost-hunting game, “Phasmophobia.”
