Battlefield 6`s highly anticipated first season is set to introduce three new multiplayer maps, significantly expanding the game`s battlegrounds. This addition includes two expansive, entirely new maps and a seasonal aesthetic variant of a pre-existing location. Alongside these fresh environments, players will also gain access to new vehicles designed to enhance battlefield navigation, notably featuring the rather unexpected inclusion of a golf cart. This comprehensive guide will detail all the new maps and vehicles players can expect to find in Season 1 of Battlefield 6.
It`s crucial for players to understand that not all of Season 1`s downloadable content, including these new maps and vehicles, will be available immediately at launch. The developers plan a staggered release strategy, deploying the content in three distinct phases. Season 1 officially begins with the “Rogue Ops” update, which is already live across all platforms. Following this initial rollout, the “California Resistance” phase is scheduled to launch on November 18, with the “Winter Offensive” concluding the content release on December 9.
Below, we provide a detailed overview and first look at all three upcoming maps.
Rogue Ops – Blackwell Fields

The “Rogue Ops” update marks the start of Season 1 by introducing the brand-new Blackwell Fields map. This extensive, large-scale map is situated on a massive oil field in California, characterized by vast open terrain that offers prime opportunities for snipers and long-range combat specialists. Various structures found across the map, such as oil wells and construction equipment, provide strategic cover points for engagements.
Blackwell Fields will feature the standard selection of vehicles, including helicopters, planes, and tanks. Additionally, it brings the season`s first new vehicle: the APC Traverser Mark 2. This armored ground vehicle is designed to seat four players, consisting of a driver, a roof-mounted gunner, and two backseat passengers who can operate as side gunners.
California Resistance – Eastwood

In the second phase, set to arrive in November, the “California Resistance” update will bring the conflict to the Californian suburbs with the introduction of the Eastwood map. This scenario depicts Pax Armata launching an attack on a Southern California town, with battles unfolding within and around suburban homes, through backyards, and even across a golf course. While residential houses offer ample cover for intense close-quarters skirmishes, the expansive golf course provides open ground, suitable for long-range engagements.
Speaking of the golf course, Eastwood uniquely introduces the golf cart as a new playable vehicle for the map. Upon the map`s November launch, players will be able to utilize these golf carts to cruise around the environment, potentially leading to some interesting and humorous new battlefield scenarios.
Winter Offensive – Ice Lock Empire State

The third and final phase of Season 1, dubbed “Winter Offensive,” is themed around the festive winter holidays. This seasonal content for Battlefield 6 adds a distinctive winter-themed variant of the existing Empire State map. This update is primarily a visual overhaul, transforming the familiar New York-based map into a landscape blanketed in ice and snow.
As of the current announcement, no new vehicle has been revealed specifically for the “Winter Offensive” update.
