The open beta for Battlefield 6 has concluded, and Battlefield Studios has announced upcoming changes before the game`s official launch. A major adjustment is the nerf to the M87A1 shotgun, which many players found to be excessively powerful during the beta. To secure a kill with this shotgun, more pellets will now be required. The developers quickly addressed this feedback, stating that the fix was already implemented in a newer build of the game.
Beyond the shotgun, the studio plans to make “targeted adjustments” to improve the overall gunplay experience. This includes modifications to recoil and tap-fire characteristics across all weapons, aiming to reward precision and weapon mastery.
Regarding player feedback on time-to-kill (TTK) rates, Battlefield Studios acknowledges the concerns but is not yet committed to making definitive changes in this area.
The Battlefield 6 open beta was the largest in the series` history, attracting over 20 million participants, according to research firm Oppenheimer.
Battlefield 6 is set to launch on October 10th. While it won`t be available on Xbox Game Pass, the game`s $100 edition can be accessed through the EA Play Pro subscription service.
