Xbox players can now pre-load Battlefield 6, getting a head start before its official launch. PC and PlayStation 5 users, however, will need to wait a few more days.
The base game, including multiplayer and campaign, requires under 41GB on Xbox Series X and 39.10 GB on Xbox Series S. Players can also choose to install optional HD packs. The Multiplayer HD pack is an additional 25.6GB, and the Multiplayer HD Marker pack adds 23.8GB, both significantly increasing the total file size.
According to Battlefield Bulletin, a fan-operated news source, pre-loading for PlayStation 5 and PC will become available on October 3. The game is scheduled for a global release on all platforms on October 10, commencing at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET / 4 PM BST.
Looking further ahead, EA and DICE have confirmed that Battlefield 6 Season 1 will kick off on October 28. This free update for all players will be rolled out in three distinct phases.
EA recently promoted Battlefield 6 with a live-action trailer that humorously satirized the celebrity operators featured in its competitor, Call of Duty. Despite this, industry analysts anticipate that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will likely surpass Battlefield 6 in sales. Players eager to boost Battlefield 6`s success are encouraged to pre-order the game and spread the word.
Battlefield 6 marks the first major AAA title from EA since the company announced its intention to be sold for $55 billion to Saudi Arabia’s PIF, Affinity Partners, and private equity firm Silver Lake.
