Arcade1Up NBA Jam Deluxe Cabinet Drops to All-Time Low Price

Fans of the classic NBA Jam can get significant savings on the Arcade1Up home cabinet. While the previous $100 discount ($400, down from $500) remains available at Amazon, multiple major retailers, including Best Buy, Kohl`s, and Macy`s, have dropped the price even further to just $350, representing a total $150 reduction off the MSRP.

Kohl`s offers an extra incentive for early buyers: a $70 Kohl`s Cash reward for purchases of the NBA Jam Deluxe cabinet made before Christmas. Shoppers preferring Amazon should monitor the site, as the retailer often price-matches major discounts and may soon align its price with the $350 low.

NBA Jam Deluxe Cabinet Features

The NBA Jam Deluxe Cabinet includes three classic Midway basketball titles:

  • NBA Jam (1993)
  • NBA Jam Tournament Edition (1994)
  • NBA Hangtime (1996)

This Deluxe version supports both local multiplayer and global Wi-Fi connectivity for online play. Key features designed to replicate the arcade experience include a 17-inch HD display, a lighted marquee, dual stereo speakers, and a simulated coin door.

The assembled cabinet stands approximately 61.5 inches tall and weighs 62 pounds. This model is currently the only Arcade1Up *NBA Jam* version available in stores, offering an authentic way to revisit the best entries in the series, which has been dormant on home consoles since 2011.

A Look Back at the Games

NBA Jam premiered exclusively in arcades in 1993. The 1994 Tournament Edition expanded upon the original by adding a Tournament mode and allowing a third player substitution per team, alongside enhanced player statistics.

NBA Hangtime was developed by the same talented Midway team, though under a new name after the *NBA Jam* moniker was sold to Acclaim Entertainment. Hangtime further expanded the rosters to five players and introduced a custom player creation feature, maintaining the signature fast-paced, high-flying gameplay of the series.
