Alfred Hitchcock’s 15-Film 4K Blu-ray Ultimate Collection Announced

The highly anticipated “Alfred Hitchcock: The Ultimate Collection,” featuring 15 of his iconic films, is finally set for release on 4K Blu-ray. This comprehensive collection will be available for preorder starting October 14, priced at $125. Up until now, 4K editions of Hitchcock`s masterpieces have been limited to smaller, five-film compilations, while the complete 15-film collection has only been available on standard Blu-ray since 2012.

This new 15-disc set is packed with over nine hours of special features, a beautifully designed collectible booklet, and digital versions of each film. These digital copies can be seamlessly added to your Movies Anywhere library, allowing you to stream or download them across all your compatible devices.

Universal Pictures is also reissuing the standard 1080p Blu-ray edition of this collection for the first time since 2017. This Blu-ray version, available for $88 at Walmart and $101 at Amazon, also includes digital copies of the films and mirrors the 4K version`s extensive bonus features and premium packaging.

The collection showcases the following 15 quintessential Hitchcock films in stunning 4K Blu-ray and digital formats:

All 15 films boast High Dynamic Range (HDR10) and support DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0. Additionally, some films feature enhanced audio with DTS:X and/or Dolby TrueHD surround sound. The special features vary by film; classics such as “Psycho,” “The Birds,” and “Rear Window” offer a more extensive list of bonuses compared to titles like “Frenzy” or “Family Plot.” In total, the bonus content spans over nine hours, encompassing documentaries, insightful commentaries, interviews, and fascinating behind-the-scenes features.
