The 10th-anniversary Kojima Productions event, announced earlier this month, promises a “glimpse into future projects,” according to an official statement released on September 1.
Named “Beyond the Strand,” the event will be streamed on IGN on September 23. It is scheduled for 1 PM Tokyo time, which translates to 9 PM PT on September 22 and midnight ET on September 23. Viewers in the UK can tune in at 5 AM BST on September 23.
Kojima himself will host the event, but the specific topics for discussion remain undisclosed. The acclaimed developer is currently engaged in several projects, including the games OD and Physint, a Death Stranding movie with A24, and a Death Stranding anime.
The current iteration of Kojima Productions was established in December 2015, nearing its 10th anniversary. An earlier version of Kojima Productions was founded in 2005 and operated under Konami until Kojima`s departure in 2015.
Since its relaunch, Kojima Productions has released two titles: Death Stranding (2019) and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (2025). Kojima has hinted at ideas for Death Stranding 3 but stated he does not intend to personally develop that particular game.
Kojima recently celebrated his 62nd birthday. While many individuals his age consider retirement, Kojima has affirmed his intention to continue creating throughout his life.
