007 First Light: Release Date Revealed, Arriving Ahead of GTA 6

IO Interactive, the renowned studio celebrated for its Hitman series, recently disclosed a wealth of new information regarding its forthcoming James Bond game, titled 007 First Light. The announcements were made during the latest PlayStation State of Play event, with the most significant reveal being the official confirmation of the game`s launch date.

007 First Light is set to debut on March 27, 2026. It will be available across a wide array of platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and the eagerly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2. This release schedule positions the game`s arrival approximately two months prior to another highly anticipated title, GTA 6, which is slated for a May 26, 2026 launch.

Further insights from the State of Play confirmed that Patrick Gibson, known for his compelling performance in Dexter: Original Sin, has been cast to portray James Bond in the game. IO Interactive also offered attendees a glimpse of the game through various gameplay segments and unveiled a premium collector`s edition. This exclusive version, priced at $300, will notably include a miniature replica of the iconic Golden Gun.

The narrative of 007 First Light promises to explore an origin story for James Bond, venturing into a period largely untouched within the extensive history of the spy franchise. IO Interactive has expressed ambitious long-term plans for the title, envisioning 007 First Light as the foundational installment in what could become a brand new trilogy of games.
